In paradise, you can merge with the ocean as well. Put on your gear and travel to The Gili Islands for an amazing surfing retreat. The Gili islands are a group of three tiny islands near Lombok, an island close to Bali. Gili is made up of the three islands of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. Every island has its own distinct charm. Even while surfing hasn’t taken off in the Gili islands like it has in Bali, occasionally travelers who wish to surf in waves that are a little less crowded visit this pleasant island.
Each island has its own distinct vibe, and the surfing is no different. Although Gili Trawangan, also known as “Gili T,” is the most developed of the three islands, Gili Air still has a distinct local character.
