2 Days Adventure to Wae Rebo Village – Shared Journey to Flores’ Hidden Paradise
Overview
Experience a truly authentic adventure with our 2 Days Wae Rebo Village Tour, a shared trip with other travelers who share the same love for nature, culture, and exploration. Nestled high in the lush highlands of Flores, Indonesia, Wae Rebo is an enchanting traditional village known for its unique Mbaru Niang houses and warm-hearted people.
This 2-day journey is the perfect escape for those who seek to combine eco-tourism, culture, and adventure in one unforgettable experience.
Where Is Wae Rebo Village Located?
Perched at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level, Wae Rebo is often called “the village above the clouds.” It is one of Indonesia’s highest and most isolated settlements, home to around 1,200 inhabitants. The village is located approximately 110 kilometers from Labuan Bajo, a scenic drive that takes about 4–5 hours to reach Denge Village, the last stop accessible by car before the trek begins.
Our Wae Rebo adventure departs from Labuan Bajo and operates Monday to Saturday.
Please note that Sunday departures are not available unless you book a private trip.
Why Is Wae Rebo Worth Visiting?
Visiting Wae Rebo Village is more than just sightseeing — it’s a journey into a living heritage. The village has preserved its traditional Manggarai architecture, lifestyle, and values for generations. Staying overnight in one of the iconic Mbaru Niang conical houses gives you a firsthand experience of how the locals live in harmony with nature.
Wae Rebo is a dream destination for eco-travelers, cultural enthusiasts, and photographers alike. The breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, the morning mist, and the warm welcome from the community make this trip one of the most authentic adventures in Indonesia.
